Replacing RTX 2060 Super with GTX 1080 Ti Seahawk

I initially bought the RTX 2060 Super Ventus solely because it was cheap, but the temperature and fan noise were incredibly bothersome.

So, I considered getting an all-in-one liquid cooling product but found the prices to be quite high.

Since a new one was out of my budget, I started looking at second-hand options. I found an MSI GTX 1080 Ti Seahawk model listed at a reasonable price, claiming to be in unused condition after a replacement. So, I went ahead and bought it.

And then the package arrived, but the seller had just attached the shipping label directly to the product box. 😂😂😂

If it had rained, oh man…

Hey, hey… are you okay?

Just kidding. Luckily, the original packaging was well-padded, so the graphics card arrived safely.

But seriously, who just slaps a shipping label on the product box and sends it off like that?

When I sell used items, I make sure to pack them securely from the start to avoid any complaints or having to deal with further contact. So, this whole situation was really annoying.

If the item had arrived damaged, it would have been a different story. But since it didn’t, I figured contacting the seller to complain would just add to my frustration, so I let it go.

By the way, wow… the all-in-one liquid cooler looks awesome. 😲

Thanks for your hard work over the past three months, RTX 2060 Super Ventus. Let’s not meet again.

You were seriously so noisy…

I pulled it out, boxed it up, and posted it for sale on the second-hand market. 😂

I settled our Seahawk into its new home.

I installed the radiator and fan at the rear, and since the hoses were getting in the way of the CPU cooler, I tidied them up with some cable ties.

Then, I put the case lid back on and took a shot.

The product itself isn’t really focused on LED effects, so it looks a bit plain. However, thanks to the liquid cooling, there’s almost no fan noise.

Now that the graphics card fan noise is reduced, I’m starting to notice the case fan noise and some coil whine. 😂

Since there’s some interference between the CPU cooler and the liquid cooling hoses, and I’m planning to upgrade to a K model CPU soon, I think I’ll need to get a liquid CPU cooler as well.
