Preview of the Apple Watch Set to Be Released on September 15

Apple has scheduled a special event for today, and it’s expected that several new products, including the iPad Air and new AirPods, will be introduced. With the anticipation building up, I decided to quickly summarize the rumors about the upcoming Apple Watch 6, which has sparked my interest.

The design is expected to remain largely unchanged, retaining the rounded rectangular shape. However, one significant change might be the removal of the crown button, which has been a signature feature of the Apple Watch. It’s speculated that a touch and fingerprint sensor will replace the crown button.

There will also be a revolutionary change in the display. While the basic function of the display remains the same, the new Apple Watch 6 is rumored to feature a micro-LED panel instead of the OLED panels used in previous models. This new micro-LED panel is expected to offer better power efficiency, color accuracy, and response time. The improved power efficiency might also lead to longer battery life for the Apple Watch.

New features will include sleep monitoring and blood oxygen detection. However, just like the heart rate monitoring feature in previous Apple Watches, these health-related functions might not be particularly useful for someone of my age and health status. They will undoubtedly be beneficial for individuals who need real-time health monitoring. However, in South Korea, there might be legal issues related to using these health functions due to medical regulations.

I’ve been without my Apple Watch 4 for quite some time now, and I find myself missing it. The thought of purchasing the Apple Watch 6 has crossed my mind.

The product announcement is set for today, and as for the price, I hope it remains similar to the previous generations. Fingers crossed!
