Bokuk Airjet Circulator

One of the fans at home broke, so I decided to buy a circulator, which seems to be quite popular these days.

I didn’t go for an expensive one and chose a product from a brand called Bokuk. Notably, other manufacturers offer similar-looking products, so it seems they all source from the same factory.

Here is the product box.

I received a defective unit initially, but they exchanged it promptly. Usually, you have to return the defective product and wait for the replacement after inspection, but they sent the replacement immediately and collected the defective unit in a one-to-one exchange. This seems to be either due to an initial defect policy or a standard practice of this manufacturer, and it’s a very good service for an affordable product.

The internal cushioning is paper-based, not polystyrene, which is good for the environment.

It fits so snugly that there’s no worry about the product being damaged despite using paper cushioning.

Here is the main unit.

I thought I’d have to assemble it like a fan, but it came fully assembled in the box. I was a bit disappointed since assembling is fun for me.

Comparing its size with a fan, it is definitely smaller.

This is the control panel.

The center is a dial, and the rest are touch buttons.

This is the remote control.

The buttons are identical to those on the main unit.

When you turn it on, the current temperature is displayed on the LCD screen.

There is an AI mode button that adjusts the wind speed according to the temperature. It doesn’t seem like an amazing feature deserving the name “AI.”

You can adjust the speed like this.

Interestingly, the neck is designed to oscillate, likely to offset noise from vibrations at high speeds.

Circulators are generally better than fans at sending air far, making them slightly better when used with air conditioners. However, at low speeds, they produce less wind than fans, and at high speeds, they are very noisy.

Still, the distance the air reaches is significantly farther at maximum speed compared to a fan. If your home is spacious and cools down slowly with just the air conditioner, a circulator would be useful.

However, if your home isn’t very large and you don’t have any issues using the air conditioner, you might as well buy another fan instead of a circulator, as it would be more useful.
