AliExpress USB Multi-Charger feat. Daiso

These days, most charging cables are designed to connect via USB ports.

Previously, we had to attach heavy power strips with multiple cords dangling, but now we can organize our cables neatly with just one USB multi-port charger.

One downside is that USB multi-port chargers tend to be quite expensive. This is likely because, when plugging individual chargers into a power strip, each charger independently handles voltage conversion and other functions. However, when using a multi-port charger, it has to provide these functions to all connected devices from a single unit.

Still, it seems overly expensive when you look at multi-port chargers with a lot of ports.

While browsing AliExpress, I found a 10-port charger on sale for around 20,000 KRW, so I immediately bought it.

It took almost 1.5 weeks for my order to arrive.

Since it comes from overseas, it’s best not to expect the box to arrive in perfect condition when ordering from AliExpress.

The box was in poor condition, but fortunately, the device itself was intact.

Surprisingly, despite being a cheap Chinese product, the design is quite simple and there are no gaps or misalignments.

The port side is also clean, with just the ports neatly arranged.

For reference, when the device is powered on, a blue LED light appears on the far left side in the photo.

The specifications are listed on the bottom.

It has a 50W output, and each port supports up to 5V 2.4A.

But a problem arose.

I clearly ordered the EU-type cable, but it arrived with the wrong type of plug (a US plug).

Rather than filing a complaint and waiting over a week to get the correct cable, I decided to go to Daiso and bought one for 2,000 KRW.

For reference, this type of cable is called a “figure-8 cable.”

Fortunately, it fits perfectly.

I didn’t think it was necessary to take photos of it in use, so I didn’t.

Sometimes, when ordering from AliExpress, you can receive defective items, but luckily, this one arrived in good condition and works perfectly for charging.

If you’re looking to buy a multi-port charger and find domestic products too expensive, and if it’s not an urgent need, ordering from overseas like this can be a good alternative.
