A sneak peek of the Apple Glass coming next year.

It’s been seven years since Google’s Google Glass flopped, and now Apple is set to release its own smart glasses.

Various concept designs and rumors are circulating, and the general consensus is that a goggle-like design looks cool.

However, I personally hope for a more conventional design.

The picture above is the rumored design that I like the most.

According to rough speculations, each lens will have a display, wireless communication will be similar to the Apple Watch, and there will be sensors for detecting distance and objects.

The glasses won’t have a camera due to privacy concerns.

However, these rumored specs don’t hold much meaning without a point of comparison.

Personally, I’m more interested in the functionalities than the specs. According to rumors:

Using AR, you can adjust the color of the Apple Pencil with gestures.

There are also rumors about a feature to select music using gestures.

If these features come out as shown in the gifs, it would be amazing.

The price is expected to be $499, with an additional cost for prescription lenses. Although it seems expensive, if the features are as impressive as the gifs suggest, the price won’t be a major issue.

The release date was initially expected to be around this fall, but due to COVID-19, it is now anticipated to launch in late 2021 or early 2022.

If the product comes out with innovative AR technology like in those gifs, I will definitely buy it and write a review on my blog.
